Ferris Sprite

Okay, so the game demo is taking longer than I thought it would. I have it pretty much all the way scripted/evented, it's just... I need to make a whole lot of art assets before it's not just a weird mishmash of the default RPG Maker graphics, and I've been kept very busy with delivering Kickstarter rewards and editing my mother's new novel (both projects are close to wrapping up now so that's good). Ironically I will have more time for the game after I go back to school. So the demo willl take another couple weeks. Some of the required artwork will be used to some extent throughout the game, though, and won't have to be done again after the demo, so from then on it'll go faster.

Anyway, here's a sprite so you know I'm not only pretending to work on it.

This is a WIP sprite, too; I based the hop motions rather heavily on the rabbit sprite that comes with RPG Maker. That's totally okay with the RPG Maker guys, to edit a sprite they provide and release it in a game, but it feels like I'm cheating and I do think the motion looks awkwardly exaggerated on Ferris because he's got those nub limbs.
And because you probably had no idea he moved like that because I never could find a good way to illustrate it in the comic. He was supposed to be hopping here, for example, but that was two years ago and a bit before I realized I could instantly look up any photo reference I could possibly need on the Internet, so it doesn't look like anything. But that's why his hologram is a rabbit and not something like a porcupine, if you were wondering. His species hops.
