Kila has reminded me why she's my favorite character with the line, "You are tall and you have biceps and guns. Learn to say no. It is not hard."
At first I thought that the flat line on Rio's hair was a mistake, but then I realized that she's just so tall that her anime-hair is rubbing against the ceiling. Awesome.
Pilau just looks so worn out in the 7th panel, I just want to give him a hug (even though I know he'd hate it). And his expressions in the last three! I love how the antenna droops from the 10th panel to the 11th, so subtle and yet so effective. And I really really really like his posture in the last panel, especially the arm positions. You really have a knack for making his movements look natural, something that from what I can tell, is hard to do with 4-handed characters.
For the last 3 as well, I find it really amusing that Kila's just standing there, not doing anything, as Pilau looks like he's going to yell a bunch at Rio.
And I didn't realize it until I was writing this comment and noticing the panel numbers (7? 10?? 12?!!)- the pages are longer. Or at least, some of them are. As someone who often feels that webcomic pages aren't long enough, I like the change!
Yeah, when I published Book 1 and realized how well the square-page format worked I started putting more panels on each page to fill up the square space. I tend to have 10-12 panels a page now, which has good and bad- good, it will look nicer in print and you get more of the story at once, bad, I can't post as often as I used to. I've gone from three a week at the start of the comic to one a week now, but I think it's worth it.
Especially Pilau on the third to the last panel! hehehehe
Holy crap, I cracked at that one. XD
